High Roding Cricket Club Won Won by 5 wickets

Match report High Roding won another toss and having been chasing well of late decided to bowl.
Mark back after a couple of weeks off, bowled a quite brilliant spell including 4 maidens and only conceding 25 runs. This set the tone for a magnificent fielding effort, great out fielding and catching, particularly 2 blinders from Molly meant we never gave Burnham a sniff. Nad with another 4 wickets and Derek with 2 on 1st team debut were excellent, ably assisted by Freddie and Amit to restrict the hosts to 158 for 9 off their alloted 45 overs.
In reply Andy 52 and Molly with 40 batted sensibly, punishing bad balls when they arrived. Gilf with a breezy 28 kept the scoreboard ticking and Del with 24 not out saw us home to a comfortable victory.
We haved moved up to third in the table but the next two weeks will be much tougher when we face first and second. However confidence is now high and everyone is contributing so the next two games will hold no fear especially back at the Meadow after a couple of weeks away.
