High Roding Cricket Club Lost By 22 runs

Match report High Roding won the toss and on a green looking wicket, with the bowling attack going well, decided to ask Eastwood to bat.
An early wicket from Freddie seemed to justify that decision and with Kit and Mark bowling their normal tight spells a score of under 200 looked on the cards. However some late middle order hitting got the hosts up to 226 which looked a reasonable total.
Again the reply started poorly and it took some patience from Rory and Jeff 38 to get us back in the hunt. Wickets fell at regular intervals and despite a quick fire 20 from SJ, Rorys 86 was in vain.
So with 3 defeats on the trot coming on the back of those 2 rained off games it appears we have entered a relegation battle! However we are playing some really good cricket in parts and just need to start battling better.
