High Roding Cricket Club beat Stock CC to win the finals of the T20 tournament organised by Aythorpe Roding Cricket Club on 29th August 2020.
Eight teams took part in the T20 tournament that took place at Aythorpe Roding CC and Stock CC. Teams were divided into two groups, where group leaders played each other in semi-finals.

Stock CC
High Roding CC finished as Group Winners by beating Aythorpe Roding CC and Hornchurch CC, with the game against Springfield CC called off due to rain. A tense Semi Finals win against Rayleigh CC ensured High Roding securing their place in the finals unbeaten.
The finals against Stock CC was interrupted due to rain, and as a result the overs were reduced to 18 per side.
High Roading batted first and recovered well after losing couple of early wickets to score 148 for the loss of 7 wickets, with Ben Chillingworth scoring a superb 55 runs.
In response, Stock CC scored 135 for the loss of nine wickets, supported by some excellent bowling from Archie Halls, Josh O’Conner and Freddie Burns taking two wickets each.
This tournament provided some well-needed competitive cricket during a challenging time for the recreational cricket in the country.
