High Roding Cricket Club 2nd XI v Little Hallingbury on Sat 28 May 2016 at 13:30
High Roding Cricket Club Lost by 4 runs

Match report A very close and hugely enjoyable match played against friendly and competitive opponents. The sportsmanship and manners displayed by our hosts were outstanding and contributed greatly to a fantastic days cricket played in a super spirit.

Man of the Match - Grant for his maiden 50 for HRCC anchoring the innings

Play of the Day - Combined run out by Andy and Mark....throw from boundary, one bounce to bowler who then hit middle stump with direct hit at the opposite end.

Team Effort - LH were 164-1 but very good fielding, catching and bowling restricted them to 231. A huge determined effort by all of the lads.

Run Chase - Going very well in a composed and controlled manner until LH opening bowler J Fensom returned to bowl his final 4 overs for 10 runs and 2 wickets. Valiant effort from Will and Sam to attempt 12 off the final over. LH have won their last 22 matches so to push them so close was a great effort.
