High Roding Cricket Club 2nd XI v High Beach on Sat 15 Jul 2017 at 13:30
High Roding Cricket Club Won By 8 wickets

Match report HR lost the toss and were asked to field on an overcast afternoon. The bowlers all then performed magnificently to restrict High Beach to 209 for 8 which looked at least 40 below par. Nad and James took two wickets a piece and looked dangerous throughout ably assisted by George, Welly and Tom.
The run chase was uncomplicated with Andy 60, Tom 53, Welly 47 not out and Gilf 38 not out seeing HR to a comfortable victory.
A special mention today to a few. Firstly Alistair who provided a wonderful tea, kept wicket brilliantly and then demoted himself down the order to give the colts a chance to bat and although that didn't then happen it doesn't go unnoticed. Then a mention to Ben, David and Freddie all of whom fielded with intensity which set the tone for a fine all round performance.
Back to winning ways after a couple of tough games and a few winnable looking games to come should see us have an end of season promotion push.
