High Roding Cricket Club Won By 2 wickets

Match report HR won the toss and put the opposition in on what looked like a bowler friendly strip. However wickets were hard to come by with the pitch playing better than it looked. The attack toiled away in the heat and did very well to restrict the hosts to 221 with wickets shared around. The colts, George and Will bowled admirably as ever and a special mention to Tom for bowling 10 overs on one leg and getting 2 wickets.
In reply HR decided to shake up the batting order. Pilch certainly put his case forward to open with a fine 25. The ever consistent Alistair, sporting his new willow batted beautifully for 43 ably supported by Freddie and Will in the middle order. Thankfully the batting depth came to fruition with Steve 33 and Nad 42 not out coming in at 7 and 8 eventually seeing us home.
That's 5 wins now on the bounce but with the toughest 2 fixtures on paper to come in the next 2 weeks it's going to be a real test to keep the run going.
