High Roding Cricket Club Lost By 6 wickets

Match report High Roding won the toss on what looked like the usual road. However the Burnham attack bowled very well with only late order hitting from Nad 19 and debutante Tom Reardon 32 enabling us to get up to 162. The star of the show however was under 14 Harry Gallian. He battled with both great maturity and skill to make a fine 56. If only he could play every week!
The bowlers started very well with both Rory and Kit looking dangerous. Kit took 3 quick wickets and at 25 for 3 HR were well on top. Unfortunately we couldn't get their hard hitting number 5 out who ended undefeated on 74 and saw Burnham home by 6 wickets.
In returning figs of 3 for 15 off his 10 overs Kit showed what great potential he has and will be a huge asset when available this season.
Although it was disappointing to lose the signs are very positive that we can compete in Division 2 and we will continue to enjoy bringing the colts through this season which will hold the club in good stead for the future.
