High Roding Cricket Club Won By 5 wickets

Match report HR lost the toss and given we had no idea what to do we were delighted to be told to field first!
Rory and Kit both bowled miserly opening spells but Ingatestone openers rode their luck and managed to put on 108 for the first wicket. However Chris Townsend bowled a fine spell to end with 4 for 41. Then Rory and Kit were asked to finish their spells and both bowled brilliantly. In 10 overs Rory took 2 for 17 with Kit's 10 overs only going for 11 runs and yielding one wicket.
To restrict the league leaders who had won all 4 previous games to 158 we were very confident at tea.
A perfectly timed and mature 36 not out from Rory and contributions from Andy 29, Ben 28, Harry 21, Gilf 19 and Tom 19 not out saw us to a fine 5 wicket win.
