High Roding Cricket Club Lost by 6 wickets

Match report Having already wrapped up the Div 3 title, the 3rds decided to bat first on a challenging wicket and quickly found themselves at 2-2. A rebuilding effort from Alistair and Jake saw the team to 85-2 at drinks, before Jake went on to complete an elegant 64 and other contributions saw the team reach 171 all out off their 40 overs. In reply, the 3rds took two early wickets and looked in the game with Hockerill 2nd's at 85-4, before a rapid 87 undefeated 5th wicket partnership saw Hockerill 2nds home for the win.
Despite the loss, against probably the best side we have faced this season, it has been a great first season for the 3rds with only 2 losses all season and promotion and the Div 3 title secured.
