High Roding Cricket Club Lost by 12 runs

Match report Having won the toss, the 3rds decided to bowl first and a great effort by our colts Charlie, Freddie, Henry, Ollie, Will and George managed to limit Nazeing 2nds to 145 off their 20 overs. All of the bowlers bowled well and it was great to see 18 of our 20 overs bowled by colts - whose figures would have been even better if not for some dropped catches in the field. In our reply, Jonny, Tom and Gilf got us off to a bright start but we just started to fall behind the rate and could not quite catch up in order to reach the target, despite some good batting from Charlie and Freddie. Although we ended up losing by 12 runs, it was an exciting game played in a great spirit and it is so refreshing to see how much our younger team members are improving and how much they contribute to the side.
