Charlie Smith picked up a wicket with the 6th ball of the first over and also claimed their no. 3 in a good opening spell. Cameron Bailey held up the other end admirably despite insisting he didn't want to open the bowling...

Gus Burns picked up a wicket with the first ball of his spell and bowled well in partnership with Chris Townsend in his first appearance of the year to restrict the Stock batsmen through the middle overs.

The skipper then burgled a 5-fer with a horrible mix of drag-downs and half-trackers.

Charlie Smith took the 10th wicket in the 43rd over and Stock were all out for 212.

In reply HR took a blow early losing Zaheer for 1, Chris Townsend and Angus Burns then put on 62 for the 2nd wicket before Gus fell to Stock's left-armer freakishly; hitting the ball onto both pads, and eventually, the stumps. Ollie Camp fell for 0, bringing the Warne-dog to the crease who rotated strike well until he fell run-out for 15. Tahir Khan put on 40 with Chris before the 2nd freakish dismissal of the day saw Chris run out for 55 at the non-strikers end after the bowler back-heeled a Tahir leg-drive onto the stumps. High Roding lost the subsequent 5 wickets for 37 runs without finding much rhythm at the crease, falling short by 36.

This result sees the 2s move 76 points above the relegation zone.
